How it Started
Founded in 1997, Joan Rosenthal started with "humble beginnings" as she has often said, relying on her amazing family and friends for support. Joan used her mother's kitchen to prepare and cook food and was often heard referring to her mother as her "first executive chef!" 25 years later, Marigold has grown into the blooming Catering + Events business it is today thanks to Joan instilling her passion and enthusiasm not only to her staff, but her clients as well!
Our Team Today
In August of 2024, Joan passed the torch to Icon Group Hospitality, headed up by Georges Aoun and Anthony Hamilton. Icon Group owns and operates other amazing legacy brands in Northeast Ohio including Danny Boy's Pizza and the Hog Heaven Group out of New Philadelphia!
Icon's core brand tenet is not to redo a brand, but to renew the legacy and the ethos of amazing operators such as Joan who pour their heart and soul into a concept. In this, the aim is to maintain rather than reinvent, and Marigold will continue operate congruently with the vision and principles of its founder!

Each event is assigned a dedicated Sales Manager who will work with you from start to finish. We will help to customize your menu, design your space, handle your timeline & logistics and guide you through the event planning process.
We also supply you with checklists, floor plans, vendor recommendations and many personalized touches. At Marigold Catering + Events, we act as your portal into Cleveland's event planning world!
